North Topsail Beach, North Carolina

The heart can think of no devotion greater than being shore to the ocean. — Robert Frost

Shipwatch Villas is located on Topsail Island, a secluded barrier island on the Treasure Coast of southern North Carolina. It owes its name to the pirate ships that hid on the bay side, with just the top of their sails showing over the dunes. Today, the unspoiled white sand beaches, crashing surf and mild temperatures combine to provide a memorable vacation. Villa residents truly consider it a home away from home.

In a pristine natural setting, Shipwatch offers a generous range of activities including swimming, surfing, fishing, sailing, or just strolling our stretch of uncrowded beach. It is easy to find the time to reflect, read or simply enjoy family and friends.

Wooden walkways link the entire Shipwatch community and extend to dune bridges that provide easy and convenient access to the beach. A large swimming pool provides fun for both residents and guests. Barbeque grills in garden settings are available and are the perfect way to end a tranquil afternoon on the island.

Sneads Ferry, an eighteenth century fishing village, located on the other side of the high rise bridge over the intercoastal waterway and Surf City, midway down Topsail Island, offer marinas for private boat storage and charter boats for deep-sea fishing, restaurants of excellent quality and shopping in quaint beach-themed shops. There are many galleries that offer unique art from local artists. Golf enthusiasts can find several championship courses with opportunities for an afternoon on the links or memberships.
